Bridgeport ISD is pleased to announce the appointment of Kayla Chandler as the new Assistant Principal of Bridgeport Elementary School (BES).

Chandler brings extensive elementary classroom experience, a strong background in special education, and a deep commitment to the students and families of Bridgeport ISD. She has served as a kindergarten teacher at BES since 2021, where she has excelled at providing differentiated instruction, building meaningful relationships with families, and actively supporting campus and community outreach efforts. She will join Principal Brubaker in leading the campus.

"Kayla’s genuine love for children has been evident throughout her service at BES," said P.J. Giamanco, Assistant Superintendent of Student Services. "Her understanding of young learners, strong relationships with families, and commitment to helping every child succeed will make her a valuable addition to the campus leadership team."

"BES has become a family to me, and I am incredibly grateful for the relationships I have built with our students, staff, and families," Chandler said. "I look forward to supporting our teachers, building upon the great work already taking place, and helping Bridgeport Elementary continue to grow."
